What If Banks Had No SWIFT?

I highly doubt that banks would have become successful financial businesses around the globe if SWIFT was never around. The SWIFT network powers many banks in both capitalist and semi-socialist countries around the world. Even current big banks which were founded in a semi-socialist nation like the United States of America need to be part of the SWIFT network in order to operate as businesses. If banks had no SWIFT organization to depend on, there would increase in money laundering activities. Some successful Nigerians would be laundering money into bank accounts which have been opened in Switzerland if SWIFT was never around to help banks deal with illegal activities. I really think that SWIFT is a very helpful organization which allows customers of banks like Chase and Bank of America to find SWIFT codes with ease.
