There aren’t so many investors and traders who are asking themselves serious questions before opening brokerage accounts through Etrade or Scottrade. Firstly, I will not open a brokerage account if I do not know what benefits stocks or futures will be able to provide me in the future. Will you open a brokerage account without analyzing what stocks are? Stocks can be very positive financial instruments but they can also cause havoc to the financial reputation of businessmen who invest their money in them for profits.
I do not think trading stocks will make you rich and neither will it make you poor. The only way trading stocks will make you rich is when you are not losing your capital after buying or selling some shares. Unfortunately, all stock markets carries high risks so profits and losses are part of them. Just because the New York Stock Exchange or Luxembourg Stock Exchange is still active does not mean it produces only millionaires. The rate of losing money when trading risky growth stocks can accelerate especially when you are an inexperienced trader. Securities you purchase can lose or gain value hence you are not guaranteed riches when day trading.
